These rules apply only to people who are official members of the Computing Laboratory. Library users from other Departments should consult the Librarian about photocopying.
Photocopying in the Computing Laboratory Library
The Library has a photocopier available to members for copying material from the collections of the Library. Copying should be limited to amounts allowed within the licence agreed with the Copyright Licensing Agency. Details are listed on notices beside photocopiers in the Laboratory.
Photocopying in the Radcliffe Science Library
The Laboratory also issues photocopying cards which can be used with the photcopiers at various University Library Services libraries.
These can be collected from the Librarian.
The following points should be noted about these cards :
Existing card-holders will be issued with a card with £5 pre-credited on it.
After that it will be the responsibility of each card holder to have
their card revalued at the Radcliffe Science Library (RSL) revaluing machine.
You will need real money to do this! Immediately after revaluing you
should obtain a receipt from the Entrance Hall at RSL. There are
instructions on the RSL revaluer machine to remind you.
On production of a receipt Sue Baker you will then be able
to claim the money back. No receipt; no money back.
Cards should only be revalued for upto £5 at any one time as the Laboratory
will only refund £5 on any one receipt.
If you lose a card you will have to pay a £5 non-refundable fee to obtain
a new zero-value card.
To obtain a card see Brian Morgan in the Library as usual.
Please return your card when you leave.
One advantage of the new card is that it can used in the Radcliffe Science
Library (RSL), the Bodleian Law Library, the Taylor Institution, and the
Modern Languages Faculty Library. The Central Bodleian will join the scheme
in October 2000. But you can only get it revalued and get a receipt at RSL.
This facility is not availabe to M.Sc. students.
