IFIP TC2 Working Conference on Domain-Specific Languages -- Local arrangements
There is a conference blog, where updates will be posted, and hopefully discussions will take place!
The conference will take place
in St Anne's College,
Oxford. It will start at 09:30 on Wednesday 15th July, and
finish around 17:00 on Friday 17th July. A draft of the
programme
is available, and the original
call for papers may still be useful.
We are planning a punting trip to a nearby pub on Wednesday evening, and a banquet on
Thursday evening. No special arrangements are being made for Tuesday
or Friday evening.
The college has a choice of ensuite single rooms (£70 per night for bed and
breakfast, some convertible to twin rooms) or single rooms with a washbasin
and access to a shared bathroom (£45 per night for bed and
breakfast). We have a certain number of rooms reserved from Tuesday
night (14th) to Friday night (17th) inclusive, but this number is limited, and
reservations will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
The conference registration fee will be £220. This includes:
proceedings; lunch, morning coffee, and afternoon tea Wednesday to
Friday; the banquet on Thursday evening; punt hire on Wednesday
evening (but not drinks and dinner in the pub that night).
Payment can be by credit card or cheque, but must be made in advance.
Please complete the registration form,
and return it by email, fax, or post to the address indicated. If you
are paying by credit card (the preferred means), please do so at
the online
shop, and enter the order code you receive on your registration
form.
(Note that the online shop is only for payment, not for registration: you still need to complete and return the registration form.)
If you need an invitation letter for visa purposes, we will be able to
send one after receiving your registration fee.
The early registration deadline is 31st May 2009. After that
point, there will be a surcharge of 20%; the late registration
deadline will be 3rd July, at which point the college will need to know numbers
for catering.
Here is a
Google map showing the conference venue, the bus and railway stations, some nearby pubs and restaurants, and a couple of nice walks.
The college have provided some travel information.
In case you would prefer to arrange your own accommodation, the local tourist information office may be able to help; I'm afraid that we don't have the resources to make a booking for you.
The Old Parsonage,
Cotswold Lodge,
Parklands, and
Linton Lodge Hotel
are all within a short walk of the college, and are shown on the Google map.
