Foundational Structures for Quantum Information and Communication Project (QICS)
3 Month Post-Doctoral Research Assistant Position
The Computing Laboratory has a vacancy for a Research Assistant to work on the EU funded research project Foundational Structures for Quantum Information and Communication (QICS) which started on 1st January 2007 and runs until the 31st December 2009.

The successful candidate will work under direction of Dr Bob Coecke on categorical semantics for complementary quantum observables and their applications for quantum informatic protocols, within a team of researchers under joint direction of Prof Samson Abramsky and Dr Bob Coecke, working on high level methods in quantum information and computation.
The post is a fixed term appointment of 3 months with a salary on the University grade 7 scale at £27,466 p.a. includes an annual leave entitlement pro-rata to 38 days per year (inclusive of all public holidays and university closed periods), and is available from 1st January 2009.
