  • Numerical Optimisation: Nonlinear programming, symmetric cone programming, robust optimization.
  • Applied Probability: Probabilistic and smoothed analysis of numerical algorithms, applications of large deviation theory in sequence alignment, Bayesian and Kalman filtering ideas.
  • Operations Research: Optimization models in finance, robustness ideas in yield management and in call center optimization.
