interests

My main research interests can be classified into two broad categories: the design and development of middleware to support the secure sharing and aggregation of data from disparate sources, and the development of tools and techniques to support assured, context-sensitive access control.

biography

Andrew Simpson gained a first class honours degree in Computer Science from the University of Wales, Swansea.  He studied for an MSc and a DPhil in from the University of Oxford.  Andrew is currently a University Lecturer in Software Engineering at the University of Oxford; previously he was a Principal Lecturer in Computing at Oxford Brookes University; prior to that he was a research officer in the Computing Laboratory.  Andrew is a Chartered Engineer and a Charted IT Professional.
