Biography
I am a Franco-American DPhil student working on compositional distributional models of natural language semantics, funded by an EPSRC Doctoral Training Account. Before coming to the Comlab in 2008 to do the MSc which led to my DPhil, I did graduate work in the philosophy departments at the University of St Andrews in mathematical logic, the foundation of mathematics, and some philosophy of language. Prior to this, I obtained a BSc in Physics & Philosophy from the University of Sheffield.
When not working in my office (Room 413) or reading at home, I can be found:
- Taking care of the MCR bar, of which I am one of the two bar managers, in Balliol's graduate site, Holywell Manor.
- Rowing (casually), or pretending to train.
- Singing in Balliol College chapel choir.
- Embarrassing myself at trying to learn Salsa.
- Playing cricket in the Spring.
